Who should do this course?
Our 2 day weekend sailing course is designed for participants who wish to begin sailing in a keelboat. Learn the basics of crewing , whilst staying relatively dry! All the equipment and gear will be provided by us.
This is a mixed genders group.

Course Overview
The first step on the sailing journey introduces you to the basics of sailing on a small keelboat, including boat handling, safety and sailing theory. On completion of this course you will be able to confidently crew on sailing boats and be a useful crew member instead of being just a passenger

You will gain your Start Crewing completion certificate.

Who should do this course?
This course is the next step on your sailing journey. After completing Learn to Sail Level 1 you will be ready to take control of the keelboat and Start Helming.

Course Overview
After refreshing the skills you acquired on our Learn to Sail Level 1, we will teach you all the necessary skills to safely and confidently skipper small sail boats in local waters. This course will cement your knowledge learnt in Learn to Sail Level 1 whilst putting you in the driving seat and teaching you useful skills like retrieving a man overboard under sail and getting the best performance from your keelboat through sail trim, rigging adjustment and good helming technique
